If it's happening right now
Someone has been arrested
Send their full name, ID number and where they were taken from. We start locating and attending.
You've been asked to come to the station
Don't go until you've spoken to us. You'll know what to say, what not to say, and what to bring.
Stopped at the airport
Call. There's a case or a ban you weren't told about. We find it.
What we defend
Drug offences
Possession, use, trafficking, and prescription medication brought into Qatar without the right paperwork. Among the most serious offences in the country, with airport cases decided in the first hours.
Fraud, embezzlement and breach of trust
Accusations at work, missing funds, misappropriation, forgery of documents or signatures. Often filed by an employer or a business partner, often with the file already half-built.
Financial and corporate crime
Money laundering, bribery, banking and securities offences, corporate liability of companies and their directors.
- Cheque prosecutions
A bounced cheque is a criminal case in Qatar. Complaint, travel ban, settlement and closure.
Cybercrime and online offences
Defamation, insult, harassment and blackmail online; posts, messages and videos; unauthorised access. Qatar's cybercrime law is broad, and a WhatsApp message is enough to open a file.
Assault, threats and violent offences
Fights, disputes that turned physical, domestic incidents, self-defence.
Theft and property offences
Theft, receiving stolen goods, damage to property.
Sexual offences and public morality
Indecency, relationships outside marriage, alcohol-related offences. Handled with absolute discretion.
Traffic offences with criminal consequences
Accidents causing injury or death, leaving the scene, driving under the influence.
Immigration and residency offences
Absconding reports, overstaying, working for someone other than your sponsor — and the deportation risk that follows.
Defamation and insult
Complaints between colleagues, ex-partners, neighbours and business rivals, in person or online.

How a criminal case moves in Qatar — and what we do at each stage

Complaint and police investigation
A complaint is filed. You're called in, or arrested. Your statement goes into the file and stays there. You have the right to a lawyer — you have to ask for one.
What we dofind out what the complaint is and who filed it before you go in; attend with you; protect the record; make sure nothing is signed that shouldn't be.
Public Prosecution
An arrested person must be brought before the Prosecution within 24 hours. The Prosecution can detain you while it investigates, and extend that detention. Non-citizens are rarely released on bail.
What we doargue for release; challenge weak or unlawful evidence; press for the case to be closed at this stage — the earliest and cheapest place to win.
Trial — Court of First Instance
The charge is set. Evidence, witnesses, experts, defence.
What we dobuild the defence on evidence first and story second; cross-examine; bring our own experts where the State's case rests on theirs.
Appeal
Time limits are short and strict.
What we dore-argue fact and law before the Court of Appeal; challenge sentence as well as conviction.
Court of Cassation
Points of law only. Qatar's highest court.
What we dothe firm is led by a lawyer licensed before it. Every case here is prepared from day one as if it will get there.
After judgment
Sentence, fines, deportation orders, travel bans, criminal record.
What we doexecution and sentence matters; challenging deportation; lifting bans; clearing your record where the law allows.

Travel bans, deportation and INTERPOL
Travel bans
Can be imposed before you know there's a case. We find out whether one exists, why, and what it takes to lift it.
Deportation
A conviction can carry deportation. Judicial and administrative deportation follow different rules and different routes of challenge. We fight it from the first hearing, not after the order.
INTERPOL Red Notices and extradition
Our founder served three years at INTERPOL's General Secretariat in Lyon and led INTERPOL Qatar. We know how a notice is issued, how it is challenged, and how extradition proceedings run — from the inside.
For victims and complainants
Criminal law is also how you get justice when something was done to you. We file complaints so they hold — fraud, assault, theft, harassment, online abuse, cheque offences — follow them through the Prosecution and the court, and pursue your compensation inside the criminal case where the law allows it.

Prison. A fine. A criminal record. Deportation. For an expatriate, the end of life in Qatar — job, residency, family. For a company, licences and directors' liberty. The outcome is shaped early: most criminal cases are decided in the first 72 hours, in a room with no lawyer in it.
Why Al Faisal for a criminal case

We built these files for 23 years.
Our founder led major investigations at the Ministry of Interior, rose to Assistant Director, and testified as an expert witness in Qatar's courts. We know how a complaint becomes a charge, and where the process breaks.
Every stage, one firm.
Police station, Prosecution, trial, Appeal, Cassation, and everything after — no handover, no new lawyer learning your file halfway through.
INTERPOL from the inside.
For red notices, extradition and cross-border cases, experience most defence lawyers don't have.
Defence and complainants.
We act for the accused and for victims — so we know how the other side's case is built.
Arabic and English.
In the station, in the Prosecution office, in court, and in every document you sign.

From Faysel Al Mohannadi
For 23 years I built criminal cases for the State of Qatar. I know how a file is assembled against a person — which statements matter, which evidence the Prosecution relies on, and where a case is weakest. I also know how a frightened man at nine at night signs something that ends his life in Qatar, because he just wants to go home. That knowledge now works for the person on the other side of the table. Call before you go in.

Questions we get every day
Usually yes — but not before you know what it's about, and not without advice. Call us first.
You have the right to a lawyer from the moment of arrest. You have to ask. We'll be there.
Send us their full name, ID number and where they were taken from. We start immediately.
It can be. Some prescription medicines are controlled substances in Qatar. Say nothing beyond the basics and call us before any statement.
Yes. Qatar's cybercrime law treats online insult, defamation and harassment as criminal offences. Don't delete anything, don't contact the complainant, and message us.
Often not — a travel ban may be in place even if you haven't been told. We check before you book anything.
Especially then. Innocent people talk too much, sign too fast and trust the process. The file doesn't record intentions.
From weeks at the Prosecution stage to many months through trial and appeal. Most of what decides the length — and the outcome — happens in the first days.
It can. Protecting your status is part of the defence from the first hour, not an afterthought.
The consultation has one fixed fee, shown before you confirm a booking. If we take your case, the full fee is agreed in writing before we start.
You get one first statement. Make it with a lawyer beside you.
Whatever the charge, whatever the stage — send us the situation. Confidential. Reply within the hour.
